BRI-linked international forum in KL on Dec 6 and 7

A two-day international forum on China’s multi-trillion-dollar Belt Road Intiative (BRI) will be held in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 6 and 7.

The forum is jointly organised by the Centre for New Inclusive Asia (CNIA), the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, and the School of International Studies & Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies, Jinan University, China.

The forum, themed “From Reform and Opening Up Policy to Belt and Road Initiative: China’s Rise and Its Global Impact - Reflections and Looking Forward”, is to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China's Opening Up Policy and BRI’s 5th anniversary.

The forum may interest those, especially Malaysians, with business and trade interest in and with China, and in particular with updates on BRI’s development after half a decade.

I Love Malaysia-China Silk Road is thus providing the following forum details for our readers to follow-up and inquire about invitation with the organiser:

"INVITATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON NEW INCLUSIVE ASIA ( IFNIA ) 2018
------------------------------------------------------------------

With great pleasure we would like to inform you that the Centre for New Inclusive Asia, together with the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, and the School of International Studies & Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies, Jinan University, China, is jointly organizing an International Forum on New Inclusive Asia (IFNIA) 2018 in Kuala Lumpur.

This Forum, with the theme “From Reform and Opening Up Policy to Belt and Road Initiative: China’s Rise and Its Global Impact - Reflections and Looking Forward” is a commemoration of the 40th anniversary of China's Opening Up Policy and the 5th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. This policy and initiative have had far-reaching impact on China as well as the world-at-large. The aim of IFNIA 2018 is to assess and examine these remarkable developments, and to analyze their implications on the relationship between China and Malaysia/ASEAN.

We have invited a panel of prominent scholars, leading thinkers, and senior government officials from Malaysia, China and other BRI-related countries to share their insights and perspectives on this important subject.

Scheduled to be held on December 6 & 7, 2018, the opening ceremony of this Forum will be officiated by the Minister of Transport, Hon.(YB) Anthony Loke Siew Fook, at the New World Petaling Jaya Hotel.

It is our pleasure and honor to invite you to attend the Forum. You are also welcome to recommend like-minded friends of yours to join us at the IFNIA 2018. As you are one of the selected few in my list of invited guests, your recommendation is certainly viewed with priority.

We would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by November 30, 2018. You may confirm via What's App or email addressed to ongteekeat@cnia.com.my
