BOAO, China — The U.K.'s exit from the European Union (EU) will present new opportunities for free trade with the world's second-largest economy, a former Chinese banker said Saturday. "Brexit will pave a new path for free trade between China and the U.K.," Li Ruogu, former chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China, said at the Boao Forum held in the Hainan province of China. Despite fears about rising protectionism and anti-free trade forces in the current global environment, Li said the U.K. may already be a more open market than the EU. He cited inefficiencies in EU agricultural policies and its disputes with China regarding the steel trade as examples of protectionism in the EU. "After Brexit, China and U.K. trade may get freer, especially in financial services," said Li, who was speaking in a panel moderated by CNBC anchor Geoff Cutmore … for more, go to https://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/25/uk-china-trade-brexit-li-ruogo-boao-forum.html

You believe the US global propaganda of demonising China and Russia? Good luck to you for the missed economic opportunities!

KUALA LUMPUR (February 2018): If you believe the pro-US international news services’ reports that demonises China and Russia, then good luck to you.

The war-waging US’ history of killing and occupying sovereign countries post-World War ll is testimony enough for all to see and judge who is the evil super power.

I Love Malaysia-China Silk Road stresses its belief that China is absolutely sincere in efforts to forge and stimulate trans border activities.

And, China’s much publicised multi-trillion-dollar Belt Road Initiative (BRI), formerly promoted as One Belt One Road (OBOR) Initiative and also dubbed as the revival of the New China Silk Road, is the Chinese communists’ commitment to promote global trade and economy.

After all, the Chinese are proven business-minded and business-focus communities all over the world.
Unlike the Americans, the Chinese are investing billions and trillions of dollars on regional infrastructure - road, rail, sea and air - construction to link China to Asia, Europe, Africa and even the Scandinavian countries.

Already, 68 countries have inked deals to work with China to realise and complete BRI. That is the real reason the US fear China and Russia who were the first to also sign agreements to use their currencies to trade, instead of the Greenback.

That’s what is spooking and angering the US, thus the rest of the world witnesses how Pakistan has been left out in the cold by the US in terms of aid.

But, China and Russia has moved in swiftly to help Pakistan in terms of business, trade and arms to empower Pakistan’s military against the US ally, India.

So, if you believe in the US demonising propaganda of China and Russia, good luck to you. The 68 countries working with China to develop BRI will reap the opportunities.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP): an assessment of the negotiations
IN 2011, the leaders of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) took the decision to establish the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), for which the ASEAN members agreed to engage with partner countries with which the group had already concluded a free trade agreement (FTA).1 Importantly, the ASEAN leaders decided that the process for establishing the RCEP should be driven by the members of the grouping. The process, according to the ASEAN leaders, was to be guided by the ASEAN Charter, which underlined the need to ’maintain the centrality and proactive role of ASEAN as the primary driving force in its relations and cooperation with its external partners in a regional architecture that is open, transparent, and inclusive’ (Article 1, section 15) … for more, go to https://www.bilaterals.org/?the-regional-comprehensive
